If you navigate to our Pricing page, you will see all of the tests we offer, what drugs we test for, and the prices. This page is for you to learn general information about drug usage and testing services.
We offer Breath Alcohol tests and EtG tests. Breath Alcohol results are instant, whereas EtG tests can take 8-10 business days to receive results for.
Breath Alcohol tests can detect alcohol on the breath for several hours. EtG tests can be performed through urine or hair. In urine, ETG can typically be detected for up to 4 days post-consumption, and hair EtG can detect up to 90 days.
Alcohol intake volume, individual metabolic rate, age, genetic factors, and hydration can all affect the level of Alcohol in someone's system.
Health-Link does offer Instant Urine testing and Lab Urine testing. With the instant, the results are instant, too. With the Lab, it takes approximately 8-10 business days for results once the Urine has been shipped.
Instant Urine tests can detect drugs in the system from usage of a few days prior, where Lab testing can detect up to 7 days prior.
The detection period for urine drug tests can vary depending on the substance, the individual's metabolism, dosage, and how frequently the drug is used.
Hair testing is available through a lab. We believe it is the most accurate form of testing we offer because it detects levels, along with subcategories of certain drugs. Results are reported within 8-10 business days.
Hair testing can detect drug use up to 90 days prior. This is a massive increase from urine and saliva testing. This option is great for learning history of drug use instead of recent activity.
The detection window can be affected by the following:
Hair Growth Rate
Drug Type
Frequency of Use
Hair Color and Texture
Environmental Exposure
Washing and Hair Products
Diet and Metabolism
Chemical Treatments
Time Since Use
Nail testing is not as common, but it is available. The nails ship to a lab and we receive results within 10-15 days, similar to hair testing.
Nail drug testing can detect substances for a longer period than urine or hair tests. The detection window typically ranges from 3 to 6 months.
Results of nail drug testing can also be affected by many factors. These would be
Substance Type, Nail Growth Rate, External Contamination, Metabolism Variability, Nail Care Products, Health Conditions, Testing Methodology, Age, Gender, and Hydration Levels.
We take the sample and test on-site. Results are available within 15 minutes.
A saliva drug test has a shorter detection window than other methods and typically only work for 5 to 48 hours. This is a gret option for wanting to know recent use.
Hydration levels, food and drink consumption, oral hygiene, medications, time of day, smoking/vaping, health conditions, and environmental factors such as exposure to chemicals, can all affect the saliva testing results.
As you will see at the bottom of the pricing tab, we also offer MRO services. MROs are experts in the toxicology of illicit drugs and substances, providing a review of laboratory results. They follow the chain of custody of drug test samples and keep accurate records to ensure that samples do not lose their integrity or end up in the wrong hands.
To be an MRO, an individual must be a licensed physician, and have qualification training of collection procedures for specimens, chain of custody, reporting, and record keeping, interpretation of drug and validity test results, and the role and responsibilities of MROs in the DOT drug testing program.
We offer this service to clients so you can feel a sense of ease. Having that extra bit of clarity about your test results makes a huge difference. To learn more, contact us!
